CLF moment

While I was at Rio Hill I went to the Joann to pick up a bamboo crochet hook...except lo and behold, they didn't have them.
They're on the website and they have a hundred plastic and aluminum hooks, but no bamboo in store. Yet they have almost an entire WALL of bamboo knitting needles.
How fair is that?
So to the internet I go, unless I find time to go to one (or both) of the two LYSs. The only problem with this is hours (hard because of work and sleep) and because they're very knit-centric. While that's fine because we all use the same yarn, we don't all use the same tools. I don't know if they're as likely to carry ANY hooks, period, much less bamboo or wood.

Honey Panta

The Honey Panta is finished!

This pattern was actually really easy and fast to do.
If I would have had it with me, I would have had it finished in the time we were sitting at the Outback waiting for a table (tip: call ahead, I learned my lesson).

I think next up is going to be the Psuedo Kimono out of Not Your Mama's Crochet in Teal, but I might take a reading break first.

Also, this makes 4 FO's from my Master Craft List, one thing on my Uberlist can be crossed off.

It is Incredibly Hard...

to take a picture of your own legs.

I made some leg warmers as an experiment on my knifty knitter.

They're not great, but they work.

(bonus cat sighting!)

Also, today I started the Honey Panta, with the yarn I tried Calorimetry with. It's really the sparkle. I'm addicted to the sparkle...

*huff*

Screw Calorimetry.

I tried it twice. The first try I got stuck because I was doing it wrong, the second time it was TOO F'N SMALL!!! (and looked horrible - how are you supposed to have consistent ribs when you keep slip stitching??)

"Oh, but the third time's the charm!" you say....

WRONG, is what I say. Two wasted evenings is enough. Seriously, the stress I felt at the end of both those evenings canceled out any yarn relaxation.

So now I'm going back to what I should have done in the first place, and CROCHET myself a headband. This one: Honey Panta

I've also got a legwarmer done with my knifty knitter. Now I'm starting the second one. Hope I have enough yarn left. :)

So now I knit...or not.

The next project is a Calorimetry out of white/multi WoolEase(the multi is apparently the little shiny strand running through it.).

I would have had it done last night, but apparently I can't read a pattern.
Actually, I could read it, it was the UNDERSTANDING part that was not working.

Short rows. Pfft.

Ze skirt, she is - how you say...done.

Black Violet is done! Woohoo!!!

I suck at blocking, so she's still a tiny bit lumpy, but not much.

Done with Knitpicks Palette (peruvian wool) and an F Hook...

And here she is with the flaming yarn. You know I had to work that in there somewhere, right?
